Holidays

Holiday Description
Maundy Thursday
We gather for a solemn service on Maundy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter)
Easter
Easter morning starts with a 6:00 am Sunrise Service on Blueberry Hill, followed by a hearty breakfast in Fellowship Hall at 7:00. We have an Easter Service at 10:00 in the Sanctuary.
Memorial Day
Each year, the town-wide Memorial Day Service begins in the church’s Sanctuary before moving across the street to the Town Green.
Fourth of July
A fairly new tradition for our church is to participate in the town’s festivities. We give our free hot dogs and bottles of water during and after the parade. We have a float in the parade, singing and throwing candy to onlookers.
Harvest Fair
Every Columbus Day weekend, the town hosts its annual Harvest Fair on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. We set up booths outside selling hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, and maple cotton candy. From the church kitchen we sell homemade soups, walking tacos, chicken kabobs, and homemade apple pie. We rent out space on the lawn and in Fellowship Hall to vendors.
Weekly Advent Celebrations
Each week of Advent we have a special reading and candle lighting ceremony.
Christmas Eve
We have a candle-lit Christmas Eve celebration featuring Scripture readings and traditional Christmas songs and candles.
