My two-month-old granddaughter has been growing like a weed. She drinks her liquid formula which not only satiates her hunger, but it also satisfies her for a few hours. I recall having to have a liquid diet after my surgery in 2008. It sustained me but it did not satisfy my hunger.
There will come a time where the baby will no longer be satisfied by liquid alone. She will need solid foods to continue to grow. So do we if we are to continue to grow in our faith.
In Hebrews, it warns us of becoming too comfortable living on “milk”. We must commit to growing in Christ, eating the solid Word, digesting its meaning and living it out. Then we can discern good from evil. May you continue to hunger for spiritual maturity, for we can only be fully satisfied in Jesus.

Hebrews 5:13-14
13 for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. 14 But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.
