My day has not gone as planned. I'm the type of person who likes things done on a schedule. But as of late, in my house, there is no schedule. This is very frustrating to me. I found myself losing patience. Love is patient, so I was not being so loving. Then I read Proverbs 3:5.
My frustration comes from me leaning on myself and not on God. Funny thing, the word frustrate comes from the same Latin word as fraud. Both words originally had to do with being cheated out of something you felt you deserved. Ouch!
Trusting in God, means we put everything in His hands, our abilities, wants, action and other people’s actions. Both the small and the big things are in His strong hands. We must not lean on ourselves, but trust in God to straighten things out in His time and in His way.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
